Carver County ARES Net Control Script
Good evening.
This is (YOUR CALL), Net Control Station this evening for the Carver County Amateur Radio Emergency Service Net.
This net meets Sunday evenings at 20:30 (8:30PM) on the 147.165 repeater for emergency preparedness training, and to pass formal and informal traffic. This is a directed net. Please transmit only at the direction of net control. If you need to break in do so with your call sign only. All stations, regardless of county, are invited to participate.
The repeater is now closed to non-emergency traffic until all traffic and formal net business have been handled. In the event that emergency traffic does arise, we will direct all efforts toward clearing the emergency situation before resuming this net.
First there will be a roll call of Carver County ARES members. Following the member roll call there will be an open check in period for other ARES members. Net control will acknowledge all check-ins. After check-ins appear to be complete, net control will invite stations having traffic to pass their traffic. After the closed portion of the net is complete the net will remain active as an open net. At that time net control will ask for other check-ins. (UNKEY)
This is (YOUR CALL).
I will now proceed with the Carver County ARES member roll call. Members checking in will respond to the roll call with their call sign and traffic intent only. ARES stations are expected to remain in the net until the net is closed or permission to check out of the net is granted by net control.
(Call the roll using call sign and first name)
The roll call is complete.
Other ARES stations wishing to check in to the Carver County ARES Net may do so now. Please check in initially with your call sign only. When net control acknowledges your call, give your name and location and if you have traffic.
